Lenders' Podium is committed to excellence in all areas. Its lecturers are well known experts in their fields, selected because of their front-line knowledge, and hands-on experience.

It features regularly, Robert A. Zadek , counsel in the San Francisco office of Buchalter Nemer, handling factoring, asset-based lending, loan documentation, trade finance and letters of credit, loan workouts, and bankruptcy.   Before joining the firm, he was Vice President and Senior Counsel with Wells Fargo Bank, San Francisco, California, handling their problem loans.

He is a past Chair of the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the Section on Business Law of the American Bar Association, and was a founder and Chair of its Subcommittee on Loan Documentation.

Bob served on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and as Chair of its Uniform Commercial Code Committee. He is a charter fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys, Inc. and is a member of their Board of Regents.

Bob has served as an attorney-advisor on the American Law Institute committee to revise the Restatement of the Law of Suretyship, and was an advisor to the Drafting Committee on Revision of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

While practicing in New York he was President of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys.

Bob's column, "You Be The Judge" is a regular feature in The Secured Lender, the journal of the Commercial Finance Association. Bob had served as the loan documentation instructor, teaching an annual two-day workshop on asset-based lending.

Bob has been a member of the faculty of Rutgers University School of Law, teaching a course in secured transactions, as well as a member of the faculty of both Hofstra University and Adelphi University, teaching graduate courses in corporate finance. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Law Degree from New York University School of Law.

Bob has authored "The Code's Misplaced Emphasis on Possession", which appeared in the 1994 UCC Symposium in the Loyola Law Review, and has co-authored "Fraudulent Conveyances and Leveraged Buyouts" in the November, 1987 edition of The Business Lawyer, a publication of the Section of Business Law, American Bar Association. He also co-authored "Insurance Considerations" in Asset-Based Financing - A Transactional Guide, published by Matthew Bender & Company.

Bob teaches workshops throughout the country each year on Loan Documentation and on Commercial Loan Workouts, Asset-Based Lending and a two-day seminar on The Law and Business of Factoring. For the past 12 years he has taught a two day course on Negotiating, Documenting and Administrating Asset-Based Loans for the Commercial Finance Association, who named him their "Educator of the Year" in 1996.

Bob was named one of the Best Lawyers in America by the Editors Methodology Woodland/White, Inc. for their 10th Edition 2003-2004.
